I have long wanted to bring artists John Jameson and Kellen Riell's work together! I sent a proposal to Dena Haden, director of the Co+Creative Center earlier this year and was approved!
Jameson studied at the New York Academy of Art with artists like Vincent Desiderio, Dan Thompson, and Evan Kitson. His work imbues a sense of smell with the way he is able to capture the essence of atmosphere in his work. I believe there is a new painting that he will be unveiling at the exhibit!
Riell's sense of color and mysticism creates a haunting experience when the audience is physically in front of paintings. The play on color, shape, and light create a dreamy spatial experience!
There's an incredible sense of moody atmosphere in both Riell and Jameson's work! The opening reception will be on Thursday Nov 14th during AHA! Night from 6:00 -8:00p. There will be light refreshments and live music provided by Long Swan's guitarist Mike Heffernan.
